DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday August 10th for the next in our series of workshops on Consent and Boundaries \n\n\n\n\nHow do we find consent with our horses- how can we get our horses to answer yes? \nThis workshop looks at communicating with horses through body language and intent\, and how the same body language and intent can carry into your daily life.  \nWe will discuss the idea and definition of consent\, mainly in the context of horses\, but applicable to all walks of life. DESCRIPTION:The HippityHop Circus is coming to town! Save the date May 31st from 10:30 – 12:30 to see what our students have in store for you! Our musical riding celebration this year is called Serendipity. Bring friends and family\, and have a good time.\n\n\nSaturday\, May 31st – 10:30 – 12:30 Blue Rider Stables’ (BRS) annual Circus is a theatrical performance on horseback\, where staff and riders choreograph drills to music. Circus performers represent a broad spectrum of individuals in the Berkshire community\, from young children to adults with special needs. Everyone riding at BRS when rehearsals begin in April is invited to perform\, and ridership is open to all\, regardless of age\, ability or riding experience. The Circus is a wonderful opportunity for individuals with disabilities or anxiety disorders\, who may not otherwise be able to perform in a theatrical production\, to take center stage\, as the connection they have developed to their equine helps them to overcome many of the challenges that usually inhibit them. The Circus also highlights Blue Rider’s vaulting team. Vaulting is a unique equestrian activity combining dance and gymnastics on horseback.\n\nWe’ve been hard at work\, preparing\, practicing\, and choreographing for this year’s Circus\, and we’re really excited to show you what we’ve been working on. We hope to see you there!\n\n\nCircus Raffle – 50 chances to win per ticket! \nWe have 50 gift certificates from local businesses\, valued at $15 – $75. Buy tickets to win one of these items. DESCRIPTION:Walk\, ride\, swim bike to raise money for your favorite equine\, with prizes and fun get together at the end. \nWillie Wonka was a beloved part of our herd that we lost to colic in 2021. He was a constant in our herd\, keeping everyone together and happy. In his memory we are asking for supporters to ride\, walk\, run\, bike\, skate\, etc. Each participant will collect sponsors who may donate for each mile or lap completed or give a flat donation. Participants can create teams and wow us with movement goals. All money collected will be used for the healthcare of the herd\, a cost which can run at least $40\,000 in a year.
