Saturday, May 31st – 10:30 – 12:30 Blue Rider Stables’ (BRS) annual Circus is a theatrical performance on horseback, where staff and riders choreograph drills to music. Circus performers represent a broad spectrum of individuals in the Berkshire community, from young children to adults with special needs. Everyone riding at BRS when rehearsals begin in April is invited to perform, and ridership is open to all, regardless of age, ability or riding experience. The Circus is a wonderful opportunity for individuals with disabilities or anxiety disorders, who may not otherwise be able to perform in a theatrical production, to take center stage, as the connection they have developed to their equine helps them to overcome many of the challenges that usually inhibit them. The Circus also highlights Blue Rider’s vaulting team. Vaulting is a unique equestrian activity combining dance and gymnastics on horseback.
We’ve been hard at work, preparing, practicing, and choreographing for this year’s Circus, and we’re really excited to show you what we’ve been working on. We hope to see you there!
